Guess who has been tapped by the well known fashion line, Emanuel Ungaro to be their ”artist adviser”…none other than the ultimate tabloid queen, Lindsay Lohan.

It was reported in today’s WWD that the brand is set to present their first collection in Paris on October 4.  In addition to Lohan, Spanish designer, Estrella Archs, an expressive designer who has shown at Paris Fashion Week, will be designing the line. Lohan stated, “I kind of oversees everything that Arch’s does, while working with her.”

The young actress goes on to say, “When I’m involved in  a project, I give my all to it, I feel like there is a correlation in everything I do, whether it’s pop music or film. I’ve always played a big part in what I wear, the costumes. Clothing is something that is so expressive in so many ways. It really interests me. To be in a  position where I’m working with a fashion house in Paris sets it apart from any celebrity brand.”

According to Ungaro’s Chief Executive Officer, Mounir Moufarrige, it seems like the brand is pursuing Lohan to create publicity buzz and attention to the line. The line is usually devoted to the older woman, adding Lindsay Lohan to the team is a good move to attract a younger audience. When asked by WWD about the new collaboration, Monfarriage stated, “Odds are it could work.  Everything we are going to get is going to be a plus. I think the noise level around Lindsay will be very, very big.”

I really like to see how this all pans out. Ungaro is a brand that already has substance in style and quality. It will be interesting to see how the two women collaborate. This might be a new trend in celebrity brands.
